SALLY CHUPICK
My aim in art is simple, it is to paint what moves me. The way light falls on form, that’s what interests me. It effects not only what we see but how we feel about things. The challenge is finding a harmony in the complexity of it; mixing what I see and what I want to see to create my paintings. My goal is to evoke the sensation, the feeling, the atmosphere, the mood. I work in oils and in watercolours.

Mom, I miss yah so much~ I love this picture, makes me feel like your here~
Hello Sally,
I was just doing a search for the Portrait Society of Canada when I came across your blog. I wanted to let you know I really love your work, especially your self portrait and the colors in your recent landscapes.
I was also pleased to see that your membership was accepted at the PSC. I was about to submit for their upcoming show…when I read the fine print and saw I had to be a member. I was going to apply anyhow, but I guess I am too late for this show (deadline today)!
Hope to see your work represented at one of their upcoming shows!
All the best
Sarah Margolius
Hi Sally,
I love to check your website to see the latest creations that you have posted. I hope all is well with you in Kingston. I look forward to seeing Dave on Friday evening…too bad you couldn’t make it down as Marny would have enjoyed and evening of gabbing!!
Take care,
Your old friend,
Ed
Sally,
I left a very similar reply to your kind comment on my blog, but wanted to make sure you read it. Thank you very much for your kind words–I’m flattered and appreciate you taking the time to write. I need that kind of motivation everyday!
The marsh paintings have been great. I’m off to go fishing tonight with a friend at the mouth of the marsh so hope to have some different views to study (because you can never count on catching fish, which is why it’s not called ‘catching’!)
Your work looks great and makes me want to get north to Canada quick!
All the best,
Cooper
