Commission’s a specialty

Yesterday my client came into the shop to pick up her framed painting of her late dog Spencer, and she was really happy with it. I love that about doing commissions…getting the chance to commemorate someone or something special in someone’s life.  It’s an honour.

One of my new years resolutions will be to focus on promoting my commission work in 2011.  For me the most often requested commissions are house or property commissions, but I do pets and portraits too…whatever the client is interested in having painted, I will consider it.

About Sally Chupick

The way light falls on form, that's what interests me. It effects not only what we see but how we feel about things. The challenge is finding a harmony in the complexity of it; mixing what I see and what I want to see to create my paintings. I work in oils and in watercolours.

    Beautiful painting Sally,

I do a lot of commission work too. Mostly portraits.
Have a very Merry Christmas. I don’t make New Year’s resolutions,
but I resolve to meet you in 2011.

I think it’s going to be an amazing year.
