I’m working on some more landscapes…just kind of seeing where they’re going…I want to stay open to what possibilities arise as I go…I’m asking questions, and finding answers. Here’s how they look this evening…I know there is areas that need developing more but trying not to push it too quickly, but consider options.

I like your approach, letting the landscapes speak for themselves- sort of. I never thought narrative work could do that but it certainly is a very creative method. Hmmm, inspiration!
hi Hennie, yes it’s more of a “let’s see what happens if I do this” method. I’m starting with an original landscape subject; but recreating some of it’s shapes, values and colours as I go…it’s a fun way to work…sort of like the joy of getting a new spring wardrobe! ha!
Letting the painting “speak to you” is such a good approach. It’s amazing how different one’s perspective can be when allowing the painting to develop slowly. You do lovely work!
thankyou Janelle. I visited your blog, i enjoyed your work too.
